New Years Eve Outfit + Makeup

This year for New Years Eve my boyfriend and I went to a NYE concert and well, as the blog name is Sequins and Secrets AND it's the one night a year where it's almost mandatory to wear sequins, I bought this little number from BooHoo.com off of their boutique collection for €34!

Here's is a blurry me and focused boyfriend at the concert.
So, here's the story with this dress, from the day we booked the tickets I searched far and wide for the PERFECT sequin dress. I wanted something along the lines of Kylie Jenner's 18th birthday dress as shown below.
SWOOOON
I had found a pretty similar dress on BooHoo but when I went to order it they didn't have my size. (I cried.) I loved the backless and the sleeves and uhg, I was totally in love with it! But anyway. I got the dress I did.
I absolutely loved the dress when I got it but I was a little disappointed with how it fit. I ordered a size 8 because I am typically that size universally but it wasn't tight enough on me for how I wanted it to be. Really wanted it to be skin tight and form fitting but otherwise, I loved it! The quality was great, I didn't lose sequins bar maybe one or two due to my dogs. It was really comfortable through out the night. I decided to pair it with my nude pointed toe heels to keep it neutral. (Which I totally regretted as my feet were killing me by the end of the night.)

Swiftly moving on to make up! This I was so excited about! My boyfriends family gifted me with an Inglot Cosmetics voucher (which my boyfriend looked up and they are cruelty free) so I picked up a rose gold loose glitter pigment and eyeshadow base specifically for the dress and I LOVED how it turned out!
If you follow me on Instagram (HeyEmilyLeo) you saw all of the products I used on my face!
I decided I wanted a glittery rose gold smokey eye with the emphasis on the glitter and a very thin winged eyeliner. Keeping the look nice and neutral and pinky I used Mac's Pink Plaid (not cruelty free) lipstick to top it all off!
I always put a major emphasis on the contour and the highlight. For highlight I used Bathwater from the Gwen Stefani palette and OH MY LORD! I'm not even going to say anything, I'll let the pictures do the talking!

I was very happy with how my makeup turned out with very minimal mishaps and I did EVENTUALLY get my winged liner right.
I hope you all had a great New Years Eve and have a great 2016! Gonna finish off this post with a cute photo of the BF and I.
