REVIEW: Pur Cosmetics Bare it All Foundation
Hello, my lovlies!!! I'm back with an honest af review. Perfect foundations are really hard to come by and and I am fortunate enough to be able to try out a few different foundations before purchasing to ensure it sits well on my skin and does exactly what I want it to do!
Going to work, on days when I'll be running around and still want to look super on fleek, on special occasions or nights out, I want something super full coverage. I have dehydrated skin but can become quite oily throughout the day so it's pretty difficult for me to find a foundation that doesn't end up getting super oily at some point.
I've tried SO MANY cruelty free foundations including high end ones from the likes of Kat Von D and Tarte (some of which I like and dislike) but I have yet to find something that keeps me matte throughout the day and doesn't slip and slide....
Until I tried Pur Cosmetics Bare it All Foundation!!!
It's a 12 hour wear 4 in 1 foundation. I'm gonna include the paragraph from the Pur website as to how they describe it exactly here while bolding the important bits!!
"By combining high-quality skincare ingredients with complexion-perfecting pigments, this new 12-hour demi-matte foundation instantly perfects the look of skin while helping to correct problem areas over time. Its weightless and full coverage formula masks imperfections, pores and fine lines all day without cracking, separating or fading – fitting into your busy lifestyle by eliminating the need for touchups throughout the day. Formulated with agave extract, green tea, ginseng, B vitamins and PÜR’s proprietary Ceretin® Complex, this unique formula moisturizes and plumps the skin while stimulating the skin’s renewal process and fighting signs of aging. Helping you love the skin you’re in, it’s makeup that gives you the confidence to bare it all."
One thing I learned about Pur Cosmetics during training with the brand was that they are not only a cosmetic brand but a skincare brand as well!! Unlike most other cosmetic brands, their makeup is actually GOOD for your skin! You know how you're not supposed to put makeup over acne because it will irritate it? Not with Pur!! Their cosmetics will actually help heal your skin!
And as for my mature viewers, if you're wanting something to combat anti aging, this stuff does the trick as well!! The brand recommend you blend the foundation down your neck (which I always do for color matching reasons anyway) because there are components in it that fight signs of aging and can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles!!
The '4 in 1' slogan of the brand basically means their products are a one step product. so when you buy a foundation, you're not only buying the foundation, you're buying a foundation, concealer, powder and skin care!!
I highly recommend Pur foundations to customers that want a really low maintenance makeup routine but still want to look good!
When I wear it, I really feel no need to apply concealer to my usual places or over where I have any acne visible. This being said, as an oily gal, I still like to apply a translucent power over it, especially when it comes to applying bronzer, blush and highlight.
When it comes to work especially, I have yet to find a foundation that does not let oil seep through, or sweat for that matter!!
And this foundation keeps me matte ALL DAY LONG even when I get home at 10pm after a loooooong day!
I am super obsessed with it.
Also, would like to let you know that all Pur Cosmetics range are cruelty free, vegan, paraben free and gluten free.
Don't believe me? See the results for yourself!! I'm including a pic below that is NO FILTER and me wearing the foundation, no concealer, translucent powder and the rest of my routine.
I am wearing the shade Light here!
I want you all to keep in mind that on the cheek you see in the pic I have a lot of acne scars and pores and a small amount of acne on my chin so believe me when I say this stuff is LEGIT.
It retails for $39.
For anyone in Europe, you can go to Marks and Spencer and get foundation matched and try it on!!!
For anyone that is going to go try it, I want to warn you! It is a very thick consistency!!! A little bit goes a long way, I promise!! I've applied the foundation using various different methods and here are my suggestions.
1. Damp Beauty Blender: this is my preferred way, I just think it's flawless and blends like a dream!!
2. Oval "Artis" brush: I'll attach a pic of the kinda brush I'm referring to here if you don't know what I'm talking about. You can get them from several different brands. I bought a CF 12 pc set off of Amazon for around 20 bucks so it all depends on your budget! These brushes are designed to really move the product around your face and buff it into the skin without leaving any brush strokes.
3. Foundation brush: I use a foundation brush on clients for sanitary reasons and spend a good amount of time really buffing it into the skin until I've reached the flawless results I want! This method takes a bit more time but still works!
Beauty blender is still my number one!!
Let me know if any of you try it out and how you like it!!
Thanks for reading! xx
Emily, very good article.
ReplyDeleteI have a question: can you suggest a moisturizer that has the highest SPF #? Thanks
